Film production and the Vimy Ridge memorial service mean drivers will have to find different routes to get around Winnipeg this weekend.
Albert Street will be closed to vehicles from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Monday for a film production.
People will still be able to walk down the street and businesses will be open. If you spot something strange in Market Square, it is (probably) just props for the film.
The northbound lanes of Midtown Bridge will also be closed for film production on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The southbound lane is also expected to have traffic disruptions and people are asked to avoid the area, although pedestrians will be able to walk on the southbound side of the bridge.
The Vimy Ridge memorial service on Sunday will also impact traffic. Memorial Boulevard, from York Avenue to St. Mary Avenue, will be closed to vehicles from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The City of Winnipeg is encouraging people to allow for additional travel time and to use alternative routes.
