Fire at household waste recycling centre

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a household waste recycling centre in Kent on Saturday.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said crews, seven fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene on Gas Road, Sittingbourne.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause is not yet known but the fire is "believed to have been started in machinery", said the fire service.
