Firefighters break through high-rise window to rescue workers

Toronto Fire Services rescued two men who were stuck for more than four hours on a swing stage at a high rise near Bay and Adelaide streets on Thursday.

The men were washing windows when they got stuck 33 storeys up at around 9:00 a.m. 

Firefighters used tape to cover the inside of the window closest to the men to keep pieces from falling.

Then they broke the window and brought the two men inside to safety with a ladder just after 1:00 p.m.

 There were no injuries. Ministry of Labour was notified and is responding to the event.
