Heralded as one of the most influential and sought-after forces in beauty, celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is finally unveiling his namesake makeup brand.
His very own brand, MAKEUP BY MARIO, features meticulously-crafted formulas inspired by the pro products Dedivanovic has used and loved throughout his entire career. Comprised of 21 exclusive SKUS for eyes and skin, every shade is universal and inspired for all skin tones.
Returning to his Sephora roots as a former Sephora Beauty Advisor, the limited-edition collection, which will be available exclusively at Sephora Canada stores, Sephora.ca, and makeupbymario.com as of Oct. 1, revolves around three master matte and metallic eyeshadow palettes that easily allow any makeup enthusiast to perfect their unique techniques and both glam and natural looks.
“My greatest hope is that this collection inspires play and experimentation—that each product enhances your artistry, elevates your application, and evolves your technique,” says Dedivanovic.

“With MAKEUP BY MARIO, I’ve taken my signature techniques and transformed them into accessible pro products inspired by the ones I’ve loved and used throughout my career,” he adds. “When I teach my Masterclasses, I take my students through my entire thought process and demonstrate all of my techniques. Now, my techniques and philosophy are infused into my products.”
With a little over three years in the making of this collection, the full-circle moment of this launch comes just in time for Dedivanovic’s 20th anniversary as a master makeup pro. While he’s best known as the genius behind Kim Kardashian’s iconic contours, his portfolio also includes carpet-ready looks for Ariana Grande, Kate Bosworth, Salma Hayek, Gabrielle Union, Bebe Rexha and more.

Gentle Makeup Remover Wipes
“I don’t like that residue that a lot of wipes have so I wanted to remove the fragrance and oil to create a really gentle wipe. These are made with 100 per cent natural cucumber water and they don’t leave any oiliness. These are definitely not for everyone. This isn’t for the girl who wants to remove all of her makeup. This is for someone who wears less makeup or who just wants to refresh and clean her look.”

Master Mattes Brightening Pencil
“I use these very, very often while I’m working, so I wanted it as part of the core brand. Its just a beautiful formula pencil that has an incredible grip for the inner part of the eye for when you wanna just quick brightening effect to remove the redness around the eye.”

Master Secret Glow
Mario calls Master Secret Glow “the expensive glow.” With a texture like solid water, this super-hydrating translucent balm gives eyes, cheeks, and lips the most alluring, gorgeous sheen.
“I have an association with very glam makeup but I also work with clients that like very natural looks, and this product really works for both of those. You can wear this with mascara and nothing else and it gives a very alluring glow to the skin... This product has superior grip — it doesn’’t slide or move.”
Apply it to bare skin or tap over makeup as the final touch to your look. The lustrous formula melts onto the skin for a super dewy finish.

Available in three shades (Shades Quartz, Bronzite) and inspired by Dedivanovic’s love of crystals, Master Crystal Reflector illuminates the skin with a lightweight sheer and sparkly finish. He uses it as a topper to create a spotlight effect on the eyes and especially loves to apply it on the eyelid bare. When it’s hit by any type of lighting, the sparkles glimmer and glow.
“It works beautifully and just gives a special reflection to the eyelid. These can be used on the face or anywhere you’d like. The more that you swirl into it, the more pigment you’re going to get. Master Mattes Eye Palette
“This palette is inspired by a technique I’ve used for many years. I shape and contour the eyes using different varying shades of foundation and/or concealer before I apply eyeshadow. Sometimes I leave it just with the skin tones and sometimes I put eyeshadow over it. So I wanted to do my dream matte palette that consisted of those techniques... These are not extremely pigmented eyeshadows — I tend to not love those, they can be hard to work with sometimes.”

Master Metallics Eye Palette
“This is an all-metallic formula. It’s a very creamy formula — its a blend of powders and creams so it’s very easy to use with just a swipe of a finger on your lid for a quick application. I wanted to separate my products by texture because as an artist I was always trained from the very beginning, 20 years ago, that you always separate your mattes, metallics and metals, and that’s how you pack your bag as well. When it came to the shades in this one, similar to Master Mattes, I was trying to figure out a way to cater to my [diverse] clients, followers, students. And when I work, I like to use products that I can use on all skin tones... This could be used wet or dry with a brush or with your fingers.”

Master Metals Eye Palette
“This one is a little more playful — this one is the Master Metals Palette. This comes with a removable tray.”
It offers an intense high coverage and a molten metal payoff thanks to its superfine iridescent pigments and gel-powder technology.

Master Metal Manipulator
To enhance the effects of the Metals palette with the Master Metal Manipulator.
“This is basically a mixing medium. The idea is that you put the mixing medium here and you take a brush and dip that into the mixing medium. What happens with the Metal Manipulator is that it turns your shades into molten liquid metal... It also turns them into waterproof products. In three seconds it dries and doesn’t transfer.”
