There’s a flood advisory for the Miami weekend. Then on Sunday expect another change
The National Weather Service in Miami issued a coastal flood advisory for Miami-Dade and Broward through Sunday night.
Blame it on King Tide.
The service expects some flooding of lots, parks and roads but doesn’t foresee many road closures. But practice caution.
“Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth,” the service said.

Storms on the way
Contributing factor?
Rain chances.
Saturday should be mostly dry and sunny, according to the weather service, with just a 20%-30% chance of showers during the day, bumping up to 40% Saturday night.
But Sunday sees storm chances of 70% and the wetness could last into Monday.
That said, King Tide is the main reason for the flood advisory. The showers and thunderstorms are expected to yield just about a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rainfall totals, except higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.

The Florida Keys should see a similarly nice weekend, with rain chances ramping up on Sunday. Some flooding is possible, though, owing to the tides.
“Water levels will remain elevated, with very little relief at low tide,” the National Weather Service in Key West said.
The first half of the weekend will be drier with only a 20% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow, however rain chances will increase across the #FloridaKeys beginning on Sunday! Highs will remain near 90 with lows near 80.
