Catching a glimpse of an alligator on a Florida golf course is certainly nothing new, but this particular case stands out from the crowd because of the reptile’s impressive catch of the day.
Norma Respess was playing a round of golf at Seven Springs Golf and County Club in Trinity, Fla., when she laid her eyes on a gator with a large fish clamped between its jaws.
In a video posted on YouTube last Friday, the reptile can be seen slowly strutting across a course path toward a water hazard, all while Respess and others watch with astonishment.
“That’s amazing! I’ve never seen that before,” Respess can be heard saying. “Wow, what a sight.”
The gator eventually makes its way to the water, where it presumably enjoyed its fishy meal alone and away from prying eyes.
“I don’t want to get near you. I’m glad you got the fish,” Respess respectfully says before ending the video.
In just four days, the “only in Florida” moment captured on camera has already received more than 80,000 views on YouTube.
