Fog advisory in effect for Ottawa, Gatineau and eastern Ontario

Environment Canada is warning motorists to exercise caution as visibility may be reduced to zero in parts of eastern Ontario and western Quebec — including the national capital region.

The fog advisory was issued shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday and conditions may continue until Sunday morning.

It covers all of eastern Ontario, including Ottawa, and also Gatineau.

Environment Canada advises drivers to slow down on the road, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
