Ford pickup linked to 2 Calgary break-ins sought by police

Police are asking for help from the public to find a white Ford pickup truck believed to be involved in two break-ins over the weekend in southwest and southeast Calgary.

Early Sunday morning police say someone broke into a garage in Bridlewood and tried to get into the attached house through another unlocked door. An alarm went off and the person fled, police say.

About a half hour later, investigators believe the same person broke into a home in nearby Sundance in southeast Calgary, stealing a purse and two wallets.

In both cases, police say an older model white Ford 250 with a green stripe on the sides and body damage throughout the truck was spotted.

It has a metal rack frame around the truck bed, with a white toolbox behind the extended cab, and a loading tailgate ramp.

Police are asking anyone with information about the truck or the break-ins to call the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
