Forget flower girls. See ‘flower grannies’ from NC shake up wedding tradition on TikTok
Two grandmas in North Carolina had their very own spotlight at their grandchildren’s wedding, a viral TikTok video showed.
Newlyweds Chad and Shelbi May told WITN that they decided to have their grandmothers take the role of “flower girls” after having a hard time choosing which children would participate.

“These grandmas KILLED it!” Hannah wrote. “One of my favorite parts of last Saturday.”
But the grannies didn’t just have flowers — they were also armed with bubble guns, spraying the guests with a curtain of bubbles as they made their way down the isle.
“This is the best thing I’ve seen all day,” one poster commented.
“Does anyone have a granny I can borrow?” another asked. “Mine passed and I’d love this.”
“This is so cute,” a third added. “I (love) how much fun they’re having.”
