Former Papa George's space still up for grabs

Winnipeggers will have to wait awhile longer to find out what will replace an iconic restaurant in Osborne Village.

The building once home to Papa George’s is now back on the market after negotiations to replace the business recently broke down.

The leasing company that is trying to sell the building at Osborne Street and River Avenue said they spent five months negotiating with an international restaurant chain.

Those negotiations recently fell through, and now Rowswell Realty Leasing Co. is looking for a new tenant.

Papa Georges closed its doors on Oct. 7, 2012 after over 40 years in business.
