Kelly Clarkson is officially making her next career move. After news broke that the American Idol alum would be leaving her role as a coach on The Voice, fans were wondering exactly what ace Kelly had up her sleeve. Now, we know what it is and it's one many have hoped would come soon. That's right: Kelly is officially coming back to music!

In an official press release obtained by People, The Kelly Clarkson Show host revealed that her audience-favorite Kellyoke segment would forever be immortalized in the form of an EP, out June 9th. Titled Kellyoke, the six-song record will feature popular songs she's covered throughout her time hosting the award-winning daytime talk show.

In fact, to accompany the announcement, Kelly dropped her official cover of Billie Eilish's "Happier Than Ever."

"Music is in the DNA of everything I do, so when The Kelly Clarkson Show started we knew it was the perfect way to kick off every episode," she said in the statement, per People.

Kelly continued: "Over 500 songs later, and we're still not running out of amazing artists to pay tribute to. Picking just six was near-impossible, but these songs have been some of my favorites. Thanks for singing along with me y'all!"

If you were curious about some of the other songs Kelly's singing on the record, here is the full list of tracks:

  • "Blue Bayou" by Linda Ronstadt

  • "Call Out My Name" by The Weeknd

  • "Happier Than Ever" by Billie Eilish

  • "Queen of the Night" by Whitney Houston

  • "Trampoline" by SHAED

  • "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead

Unsurprisingly, Kelly's fans on Twitter were over the moon about this news. Many might remember the TV personality getting her start as a singer with hits like "Breakaway" and "My Life Would Suck Without You."

"#Kellyoke is about to be lit. Homegirl can sing everything and I would listen," one person wrote. "Kelly Clarkson should release separate EP's for Kellyoke. Kelly's favourites (like the one being released) Kelly's classics (her own songs) Kelly Clarkson singing 'oldies music,'" another added.

Hey, maybe Kelly might surprise us with multiple albums of her covers!
