Fort Worth: 33-year-old motorcyclist killed in Christmas Eve crash

One man was shot and injured at a block party in south Fort Worth on Tuesday, Dec. 31, police said.

A motorcyclist was killed on Christmas Eve in a collision with another vehicle in Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded to the intersection of McCart Avenue and Interstate 20 on Tuesday, Dec. 24, around 6:44 a.m. When officers arrived they found an accident scene involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.

The motorcyclist, identified as 33-year-old Michael Lee Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Police are investigating to determine what led to the crash.

At least 11 people died in a rail accident in India's western Maharashtra state on Wednesday when they disembarked from their train, fearing a fire, only to be hit by another train passing on the adjacent track, local media reported. Railway officials told local media that someone had pulled the train's alarm chain, causing it to come to a halt, after which several passengers deboarded onto the adjacent tracks and were mowed down by another passing train.
