Four arrested in Dresden drug bust

Drugs, cash and a crossbow were found during a police raid at a Brown Street address Aug. 18.

Chatham-Kent Police’s Critical Incident Response Team and the Intelligence Unit carried out the operation on a home and trailer on the property. Inside was $1,500 worth of methamphetamine, LSD and percocets. A crossbow, ammunition and more than $1,000 cash was also found.

Three men from Dresden and one woman were arrested. There were 26 total charges laid among the four.

All the accused were released with court dates on Sept. 16.

William Janess, 34, is charged with three counts of drug possession, two counts of possession of a crossbow contrary to a prohibition order, two counts of possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and four counts of failing to comply with his probation order.

James Barnes, 37, is charged with three counts of drug possession and four counts of failing to comply with his probation order.

Derrick Casier, 38, is charged with three counts of drug possession.

Tess Veenstra, 27, is charged with three counts of drug possession, possession of a crossbow contrary to a prohibition order and possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
