Four people killed, two injured in two-vehicle fiery crash in Fresno County, CHP says

Four people were killed Friday night in Fresno County.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the collision at 10:35 p.m. at the intersection of Floyd and Shaw avenues.

CHP spokesperson Mike Salas said the driver of the Ford stopped at the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection, failing to yield the right of way to an oncoming Nissan Altima that was traveling westbound on Shaw Avenue.

The Ford entered the path of the Nissan causing a violent collision.

The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the roadway and onto the southwest shoulder of the intersection causing both vehicles to be fully engulfed in fire, Salas said.
