Fresh Snow Creates Winter Wonderland in Greece's Macedonia Region

Travel was restricted to vehicles with snow chains in parts of northern Greece on Friday, January 4, as a winter storm dumped heavy snow over the Macedonia region. Heavy trucks were temporarily banned in some parts as well, local media reported.

Forecasters said the snow was expected to fall through Saturday morning in central and eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and the North Aegean islands. Credit: Box of Fashion via Storyful
