How to watch 'Friends: The Reunion' in Canada

We don't have HBO Max in Canada but Friends Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow aren't leaving us in the dust. Friends: The Reunion will be available to stream on Crave on May 27 in Canada.

When the trailer for the special was released on Wednesday, fans of the beloved show were quick to share their excitement 17 years after Friends came to an end, with many Canadians eager to know when and where we will be able to watch.

Friends: The Reunion is a one-hour special that was shot on the original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot for an "unscripted celebration" of one of the most important shows in television history.

There will also be special guests including BTS, Justin Bieber, Cara Delevingne, Cindy Crawford, Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling, Malala Yousafzai, Tom Selleck (who played Monica’s boyfriend Richard), and Maggie Wheeler (who played Janice).

The trailer shows the Friends stars, in addition to host James Corden, discussing their experiences on the show, reenacting famous moments, playing a game of trivia, reading classic lines from old scrips and settling long-standing Friends debates - were Ross and Rachel on a break?

It also shows Perry getting particularly emotional during a discussion with the cast, saying "I'm going to cry now," before Aniston puts her hand on his shoulder, while other Friends stars are also seen shedding a tear.

"It was a character-driven funny, not timely funny," Perry told People about why Friends became so popular.

"They didn't make timely jokes. They didn't make jokes about O.J. Simpson. They made character-driven jokes about people — and people are going to come back time and time again and watch that."
