Frozen II will soon be available to stream on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland, two weeks earlier than planned.

The hit animated sequel will be featured on the streaming service from Friday, 3 July 2020, Disney has announced.

Released in cinemas last year, the film follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven as they journey to unearth the source of Elsa's magical powers.

It featured the voice talent of actors including Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Evan Rachel Wood, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad.

Frozen II currently stands as the second highest-grossing animated film of all time, after 2019's The Lion King remake.

Frozen II is currently available to stream on Disney+ in the US, Australia and the Netherlands.

Disney+ also recently announced that they would be releasing the filmed version of Lin-Manuel Miranda's hit Broadway musical Hamilton this summer, contravening plans for a theatrical release in 2021.

The subscription streaming service launched in the UK in March, and carries almost the entire back catalogue of Disney-owned films.
