'Funny' looking Husky dumped by breeder finally finds forever home: 'People mostly laugh'

An unusual-looking Husky has finally found her forever home, two years after she was abandoned by her breeder.

Two years ago, Jubilee was dumped at a kill shelter by her breeder, frustrated he couldn't sell her because of her looks. The pup, then 2, was saved by Husky House in Matawan, New Jersey, and housed by a foster family.

And last week, the shelter finally succeeded in finding the dog a home after its heartbreaking plea went viral.

"I came from a 'breeder' who couldn’t sell me because he said I was 'weird' looking," the shelter shared to Facebook from Jubilee's point of view. "Huskies are majestic looking dogs and I don’t know why I don’t look like them."

The post continued:

"I wish I was beautiful so someone would want me to be their dog. I like other dogs, but I don’t like cats. I love people, but I’m a little shy because people mostly laugh at the way I look. Doesn’t anyone want a funny looking husky? I wish I had a family of my own who could love me even though I’m not pretty."

According to the shelter, Jubilee's looks are merely congenital but don't pose any health risks.

Since its posting on Jan. 14, Jubilee's story has garnered 30,000 likes and nearly 50,000 shares. The shelter explained in the post's comments that the pup hadn't even received one application until it shared her story last week.

Husky House later edited the adoption post to explain that Jubilee has found her forever home.
