Gal turned heads in a sparkling red Givenchy dress, while Lynda looked equally as stunning in a chic black pant suit.

Lynda originated the role of the DC Comics heroine in the 1970’s television series Wonder Woman . Ever since it was announced that the character was getting the big screen treatment and Gal would be taking on the iconic role, the 65-year-old star has been nothing but supportive of the project.

In celebration of the film’s premiere, Lynda posted a sweet message to her successor. “Wonderful (see what I did there?) to be with the lovely @gal_gadot at the World Premiere of Wonder Woman!! #wonderwomanfilm,” she wrote on Instagram.

Gal’s admiration for Lynda is just as great. "I just love her very much so…. She is such a special women and a unique person and it's always great to see her especially tonight,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

This is not the first time that the two women banded together in the name of Diana Prince. In Oct. 2016, the American actress and Israeli star attended a ceremony naming the iconic character an honorary ambassador for the empowerment of girls and women at the United Nations in New York City.

Taking on the role of such a beloved character and filling the shoes of a Hollywood icon weighed heavily on Gal during the audition process. Thankfully for the former model, Beyoncé came to her rescue. The 32-year-old actress admitted to W Magazine in April that she listened to Queen Bey to help calm her nerves. “I decided to put on Beyoncé. Who runs the world? Girls! I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyoncé!” she confessed to the publication.
