Gas down by 3 cents a litre this week

The price of gas went down by 3.2 cents per litre on Thursday in Newfoundland and Labrador.

In fact, almost all fuels regulated by the Public Utilities Board dropped this week.

Diesel, furnace oil, and stove oil all dipped by about a cent per litre.

Propane used for home heating is up though — by 0.5 cents per litre

The new price adjustment means that the maximum that can be charged for a litre of self-serve gasoline on the Avalon Peninsula is now $1.20

In western Labrador, it's $1.25 per litre while people in Lodge Bay/Cartwright are paying the most in the province at $1.36 per litre.
