Gigantic yacht scorched by inferno outside Miami strip club. Was a rap star on board?
An overnight fire burned a massive yacht at a Miami International Airport area strip club — a 95-foot vessel that was reportedly rented by hip-hop luminary Metro Boomin.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said when firefighters got to the boat tire around 4:05 a.m. in the 3600 block of Northwest South River Driver, “firefighters found a yacht fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews immediately conducted a fire attack from both land and water. The firefight was made difficult due to the vessel’s size and fuel load.”
The blaze’s cause is under investigation. There were no injuries.
According to WPLG-Channel 10, Metro Boomin had rented the yacht and Booby Trap on The River staff said Metro Boomin was among the approximately 15 guests and boat staff evacuated from the boat.
After the fire was extinguished, MDFR said, firefighters tried to limit the fuel runoff with “specialized oil spill response equipment that entails an oil-absorbent boom. This strong mesh-like sleeve encases a highly absorbent material that soaks up oil and surface sheen.”
