Sixteen-year-old Girl Scout Lucie Myslíková made waves around the world for standing up to a neo-Nazi at a Czech Republic May Day rally.

In the now-viral photo taken by amateur photographer and computer programmer Vladimir Cicmanec, Myslíková stands holding a banner in her Girl Scout uniform. She looks completely unfazed while a man with a shaved head speaks to her.

The two spoke about the concept of nations and nation-states, immigration and refugees, Cicmanec told CNN.

“She stood proud and made some profound arguments,” he added. “She tried to explain to him that nationalism makes no sense because we are all people and should not be treated differently based on some arbitrary distinctions.”

A video uploaded to Facebook provides more context, showing Myslíková shrugging during the argument.

The Girl Scout spoke about the incident to Czech radio, according to the Daily Mail, and said the man “started a little sharp talk with my friend.”

“My friend argued that the state and boundaries do not exist except in our heads. The man did not understand this and was a bit aggressive,” she said.

“None of us did anything, he just touched us a few times and made big gestures, but couldn’t do anything more than that. I think, however, he was very upset.”

Because of her courage, some people on social media have likened Myslíková to the “Fearless Girl” statue on Wall Street.
