Global Affairs failing to adequately track billions in foreign aid: Hogan

Speaking to reporters after delivering a series of reports auditing the government’s spending on Monday, auditor general Karen Hogan said the department of Global Affairs Canada had not adequately tracked whether an annual $3.5 billion in bilateral aid was actually meeting the goals of Canada’s Feminist Assistance Policy. She pointed to “significant weaknesses” in their information management systems and a failure to track long-term progress.
