Gogglebox has confirmed two new cast members in the latest episode, with Elaine and Seb making their debut on the Channel 4 show.

Tonight's (September 15) show saw the mother and son appear on the couch for the first time, with the pair hailing from the Forest of Dean.

Fans commended the two on their debut, with one viewer writing on X/Twitter: "Liking them already, can't wait to see more of them on the show." One fan wrote, "Welcome to the Family!", whilst another praised them by saying: "They're doing a grand job."

The latest instalment saw the cast watch a variety of genres, ranging from nature programmes to Elisabeth Olsen’s new drama Love & Death, with Welcome to Wrexham and the new ITV reality show My Mum, Your Dad also being the subject of debate.

Elaine and Seb's arrival comes just a week after Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig announced their departure from the show, with the pair calling time on their decade-long stint.

"feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities," they said in a statement. "We would both like to thank Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for letting us be part of this amazing, funny and heartwarming show."

"We are extremely thankful to the cast and crew, or Gogglebox family as we call them, and of course the fans, thank you for all of your love & support over the years," they added.

The couple subsequently released a video to explain their exit. "So we thought we would put out this little video especially for the fans of the show," they said. "Just to say thank you for all your love and support over the years, it really has meant a lot. It's been an absolute ride and absolute pleasure."

Gogglebox airs and streams on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
