WHAT’S GOING ON HERE: Beamsville park getting accessibility update

St. Volodymyr Park in Beamsville is currently getting a facelift to make it more inclusive and accessible.

The playground is currently being upgraded to a rubberized surface as part of an initiative by the Town of Lincoln to install the rubber in parks across the town.


• Work to install the new surface began on St. Volodymyr Park on July 4 and is expected to take two weeks.

• The park surrounding the playground is still open.

• The Town of Lincoln is currently installing the surface in playgrounds across the town. The project at Jordan Lions Park is almost finished and then work will start at Angelina Macri Prokich Park.

• The Town received provincial and federal funding for the work through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program in 2021.
