ENGLEHART - The Englehart Winter Carnival is set to bring back some good old-fashioned fun February 29 to March 3.

The Good Old Days aims to provide activities that are family friendly and are things that people enjoyed doing in the past, said Englehart community services coordinator Johanna Paradis in a telephone interview.

"Everybody is kind of pitching in. We have a ton of students that have reached out that want to get involved," and they will be volunteering at the winter carnival.

"We've had lots of community involvement."

The festival begins with euchre at the Englehart Legion Hall Thursday afternoon, February 29.

Englehart High School will be the place to be for a spaghetti dinner and silent auction beginning at 5 p.m.

Blades will be sharpened for community hockey games at the arena Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m.

"We have coaches from all four of our municipalities," said Paradis. Englehart, Chamberlain, Charlton and Dack, and Evanturel will be represented.

The winter carnival will wrap up with square dancing at the Englehart Legion Hall on Sunday evening.
