Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has responded to the raft of complaints he has received from viewers over his recent interviews.

The presenter has conducted a number of controversial interviews with politicians over the past few months, with many of these attracting complaints to Ofcom, and he has now responded to them in his own unique way.

Sharing an article on Twitter about fresh complaints following his interview with MP Tobias Ellwood, he responded: "It might be easier at this stage to only do a story if there AREN'T any @Ofcom complaints about my interviews with politicians..."

The show received over 700 complaints in a single week recently after Piers made his feelings about the UK's handling of the coronavirus pandemic very clear on numerous occasions, particularly during interviews with MPs.

Ofcom recently cleared the presenter of any wrongdoing after receiving 4,000 complaints over his interviews with Conservative politicians, releasing a statement saying: "In Ofcom's view, in line with freedom of expression, it is clearly in the public interest that broadcasters are able to hold those making political decisions to account, particularly during a major national crisis, such as the coronavirus pandemic."

The divisive presenter recently announced that he'll be sticking around on Good Morning Britain for a while longer, as he's just signed a new contract to stay on the ITV breakfast show until the end of 2021.

"I've just signed a new contract up for GMB until the end of next year. I love working with Susanna (Reid, his co-host) and the team - we're a Ying Yang that works," he said.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV.
