Grand Designs viewers stunned as they spot 'naked man' hiding behind presenter
Watch: Viewers spot 'naked man' on Grand Designs
Grand Designs viewers were stunned when they spotted a ‘naked man’ hiding behind Kevin McCloud.
The presenter was standing in a kitchen and talking to the camera during the show's House of the Year series when the nude figure was seen outside, apparently not bothered by the fact that a TV show was being filmed right there.
McCloud also seemed to be none the wiser about the 'man', who could be seen through a glass door standing on the patio.
He was oblivious as the camera panned round to show what was behind him, and just carried on chatting about the plate of pastries on the table in front of him.
“Either cronut - half croissant and half donut,” he told viewers.
“That's a delicious invention. It was pioneered by a New York pastry chef. Soon copied around the world.
“Just goes to show that some of the best new ideas come from combining the things we already know and love.”
However, eagle-eyed fans of the Channel 4 show had spotted the figure and were distracted as they wondered what was going on.

Why is there a naked man stood in the background behind Kevin McCloud as he’s talking about Cronuts!!? pic.twitter.com/4UztfiWNZW— Cornish Chick (@kendall_julie) November 30, 2022
One shared a screenshot of the hilarious moment on Twitter, asking: "Why is there a naked man stood in the background behind Kevin McCloud as he’s talking about cronuts!!"
Another shared an embarrassed emoji.
And one surprised viewer admitted they hadn't been expecting to see that.
However, it turned out that there wasn’t really a mystery as the nude man wasn’t a nude man after all.
It was just a very real-looking statue stood outside the property.
