Next year's premiere of The Great American Baking Show on the Roku Channel is beginning to feel even more electric now that the show officially has new hosts. People has confirmed that actors Ellie Kemper and Zach Cherry will be the co-hosts of the U.S. adaptation of the much-loved British baking-competition series.

For fans unfamiliar with the duo, Brian Tannenbaum, head of alternative originals at Roku, is confident that the pair will bring the same warmth and humor as the original, but with their own personal touch.

"We could not ask for a more perfect duo than Ellie and Zach to co-host The Great American Baking Show," Tannenbaum said in a statement, People reports. "Our adaptation of the iconic series will continue to dish out the enduring warmth and humor that fans of the Baking Show universe love, with a twist that we know Ellie and Zach will deliver."

Over on Instagram, Kemper revealed that she's "honored" to have been granted the opportunity. Seemingly a man of few words, Cherry reacted on Twitter with a pair of emojis.

The Great American Baking Show, which featured a variety of hosts since its debut, previously ran on ABC for five seasons. The most recent season aired in 2019.

Although an official date for the new season of The Great American Baking Show has yet to be revealed, the show will air exclusively on the Roku Network and will have six 60-minute episodes. Hopefully fans won't have too much longer to wait for a premiere date since production has already begun in the United Kingdom.
