GTA gas price dips below $1 per litre mark

Toronto drivers filling up for weekend road trips are in luck Friday, after the gas price fell four cents overnight.

Gas now costs 99.9 cents per litre in the city, according to Tomorrow's Gas Price Today.

The prices could fall even further in the coming week as U.S. demand decreases near the end of the summer, the website reports.

This time last year, gas was at 131.9 cents per litre. Prices in the GTA have dropped over 11 cents in a little over a week.
