Gwen Stefani Teams Up with TikTok for Super Bowl LVIII Performance: 'I Get to Brag to My Boys' (Exclusive)
Hours of live programming featuring a musical performance from headliner Stefani will be streamed on the NFL's TikTok account on game day
Even for Gwen Stefani, this news still feels bananas.
The three-time Grammy winner will perform live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the fourth annual TikTok Tailgate — a special concert that will be streamed on the NFL’s official TikTok account ahead of the big game on Feb. 11.
Stefani, who says she hails from a big sports house, couldn’t be more thrilled about the opportunity.
“It becomes more and more exciting as I am surrounded by boys, and they are football boys, including my husband. It's very big in my house, so it makes me feel very like, ‘Guess what?’” she says with a laugh. “I get to brag to my boys, which all you want.”
Stefani shares three sons — Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 9 — with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. She's been married to Blake Shelton since 2021.

Beyond bragging rights at home with Shelton and her kids, Stefani is also looking forward to her performance because she'll get to help bring the Super Bowl and its festivities to millions around the world.
"To be the musical part of [this partnership] is obviously a dream come true. It's just like this is the new way to have an event through TikTok," she says. "I just feel lucky to be part of the new way. It's going to be so cool to be able to reach so many people.”
In the meantime, the "Hollaback Girl" singer is busy behind the scenes getting creative with all aspects of her show — everything from the clothes she'll wear to the glam she'll do.
“That's the fun part, right? Any excuse for an outfit. But I just talk it through with my people," she says. "I got on the phone the other day — I was talking to my stylist — I'm like, 'We need time! We need to make this the best thing ever!'"
Stefani, who is the founder of makeup brand GXVE, adds that she does her glam herself as part of her pre-show ritual.
“That's something that I've always done to prep and kind of get the mask on, ready to go. It's kind of like my version of my helmet!" she says of doing her own makeup. "And then of course I do my prayer, because I always feel like anything to do with my gift of being able to sing or write songs or have this space in this world to contribute anything, it always feels like I've just been selected and given that gift."
The most challenging part for the performance pro, however, is actually the run-time of the show itself. With so many songs to choose from in her discography, Stefani simply won't be able to play them all.

“Musically, I think it's always hard because it's really a 50-minute set, so that means cutting out a lot of songs and that will be the hard part. But I'm always a people pleaser, so I'm just going to pick the ones I think that they like the best and just it's so fun when you do kind of edit yourself down," she explains. "I'm like, 'OK, you like that one? What about this one?' Just aiming, fire! And it is really fun."
She continues of her set-list, "Luckily, I have a lot of uptempo songs, so it's going to be a great energy for the day and everybody there is going to be so hyped up. It's an incredible opportunity for me. It never gets old."
