It's not the first time that Gwyneth has inspired her followers to embrace the ageing process. Earlier this year the Iron Man star opened up about life after 40, and explained that she felt she had been "upgraded" after she reached the landmark age.

The Goop founder, who split from Coldplay's Chris Martin in 2014 after 12 years of marriage, explained that she had been on a "long interesting road" to self-confidence, and wished she could share the wisdom with younger girls.

"For me there was just a bunch of changes I had to make to really be true to myself and really live my happiness," she said. "You have to be brave and make the choice to do that, to truly accept yourself and love yourself and really forgive yourself for your missteps."

She added: "So it's been a long interesting road to get to the place where I feel really content and that I really know myself and like myself. I wish they could teach girls to do this when they are 16 instead of 40, but that's part of life."
