Halifax RCMP say suspicious death of 28-year-old man ruled a homicide

·1 min read

Halifax-area RCMP say the suspicious death of a 28-year-old man last week is now being investigated as a homicide.

That determination was made after police responded to a call on Dec. 23 regarding a suspicious vehicle on Lake Loon Road, outside Halifax.

Officers found the body of a man inside the vehicle.

Police said at the time they didn't believe the man's death to be a random act.

No details on the death have been released.

The Mounties say their investigation is being supported by the Nova Scotia medical examiner's office and by the RCMP's forensic identification services.
