Halle Berry Just Celebrated Boyfriend Van Hunt's Birthday With The Cutest Instagram

From Women's Health

Halle Berry tends to keep details of her private life pretty quiet—especially when it comes to her relationship status. But the Bruised star has been more vocal lately about her relationship with singer Van Hunt, which is kind of a big deal.

Case in point: The sweet birthday tribute she just dropped for him on Instagram. "A real woman can do it all by herself, but a real MAN won’t let her," the John Wick 3 actress wrote in the caption. "Happy birthday VanO. I only wish I’d known you sooner so I could have loved you longer!❤️"

Halle included a sweet photo of the two of them hugging, along with videos that show just how much of an easygoing vibe the couple has together. In one video, Halle jokes that she doesn’t know where they are as music blares in the background. Van’s response: "We’re in heaven." Aww.

ICYMI, Halle made things Instagram official with Van last September, posting a picture of her and Van wearing black masks together.

"You’ve got to COORDINATE. 😂 #MasksSaveLives," she captioned the post.

Notably, Van posted the pic on his IG with the exact same caption.

Fans first got a glimpse of Halle's boyfriend earlier in September, when she posted a pic of herself on Instagram in a Van Hunt tee, while holding a glass of what appears to be whiskey. "Now ya know... ♥️🦶🏽," she wrote in the caption.

Since then, Halle has posted a bunch about her S.O.

But wait, who exactly is Van Hunt and what should you know about him? Here are all the details you need:

He’s a dad.

Van is the dad to one teenage son. In a 2011 interview, he talked about what it’s like to be a father. "It is a lot of fun! I can’t imagine anybody not wanting to explore the opportunity to be a father, if you should decide to have a child," he gushed.

Van may be "the One" for Halle.

Yep, this is big! news! Apparently, he's a great partner—and she wants everyone to know it. Exhibit A: On Valentine’s Day, Halle shared an incredibly sweet tribute to Van, noting how happy he’s made her.

"To all the Valentines who may be struggling to get it right...I feel you, but never give up and NEVER SETTLE for less than what makes your heart sing!" she captioned photos of the couple. "No matter what they say or what they call you. No matter how many times you try, it’s always worth it. If you desire love, you will find your match, your equal ....your person...even if it takes you until you’re 54! Happy Valentine’s Day #vdayphotodump."

Exhibit B: A source recently told Us Weekly that Halle "absolutely believes Van is the one for her," adding, that she "can see herself settling down with him." (TBD if that means wedding bells or just more adorable IG posts.)

He dropped out of college.

According to Essence, Van attended Morehouse College and majored in English before he dropped out and said he was a “terrible student.” He also said he’d be doing something in “applied mathematics or astrophysics” if he wasn't a musician.

Van is from Ohio.

Dayton, Ohio, to be specific, according to his website. Fun fact: Halle is also originally from Ohio. She was born in Cleveland, according to Biography. So, the maybe couple has that in common. (Oh, and he’s 50, per his website.)

He’s a multi-talented musician.

Van produced and wrote songs with artists like Dionne Farris, Rahsaan Patterson, and Cree Summer. And, after he wrote the song "Hopeless" for the Love Jones soundtrack, he released his self-titled debut in 2004. His music is a mix of R&B, soul, funk, pop, and rock, and he plays guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and saxophone.

TL; DR: Van is talented.

Not to mention, Van's a Grammy winner.

Van got a Grammy nom in 2004 for "Best Urban/Alternative Performance" for his breakthrough hit song, "Dust." But he actually won a Grammy in 2007 for "Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals," honoring Family Affair, a collaboration with John Legend and Joss Stone on the 2006 Sly & The Family Stone tribute album, Different Strokes For Different Folks. So, yay, Van!

He’s performed with a bunch of famous people.

According to his website, Van has toured with Kanye West, Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, Afghan Wigs, Mary J. Blige, and The Roots.

He’s passionate about social justice.

Take a look at Van's Instagram page and you'll see he's not afraid to stand up for a cause. He recently shared a post from his son on his thoughts about the upcoming election.

Van hinted at a romance with Halle before her post.

YOU GUYS: Back in late August, Van dropped this juicy li'l nugget on Instagram:

Someone hilariously wrote this in the comments: "Wow I never even knew you and Halle Berry were tight like that."

Halle liked the pic, BTW.

Oh! And there’s this one, where he refers to someone who just may be Halle (although it's tough to tell) as "my bamboo."

He’s Halle’s "muse."

She declared him as much in a sweet Instagram post in January. "When ya man is ya muse. 📷 by me," she captioned two close-ups of Van’s face.

Van is a good sport.

The day before Valentine’s Day, Halle dropped a video on Instagram that showed herself and Van hanging out in their underwear while looking out over a porch. "You keep everything simple @vanhunt ✨#valentinesdayweekend," she wrote in the caption. In the video, Halle wiggles her butt and dancing around to music, while Van hangs out. But, at one point, he shakes his butt a little, too. Cute!

He’s a total silver fox.

Van isn’t super showy on Instagram or anything, but he’s posted a few great pics of himself:

Congrats, Halle and Van!
