Halton Police arrest suspects shooting paintballs at pedestrians

Halton Police have arrested two suspects who the police say were shooting paintballs at pedestrians in Acton Arena, near Queen Street East and Tanners Drive.

The police say they received reports that occupants in a vehicle were targeting pedestrians. Although the car left the area as soon as police arrived, they returned after a while and resumed the shooting.

Police later tracked and located the suspects who were arrested on undertaking.

The suspects, a 15-year-old-male from Georgetown and a 16-year-0ld male from Halton Hills, have been charged with assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Two paintball guns, numerous paintballs and other paintball gun equipment were seized by officers.
