Harrison Central High student arrested after vulnerable teen stabbed on the bus
A 14-year-old student at Harrison Central High was arrested on a simple assault charge after a stabbing on a school bus left another teenager injured.
Harrison County Troy Peterson said the school’s resource officer was called to the bus, which was still on campus, for an altercation involving two students and found a 16-year-old vulnerable teen with lacerations to the arm.
The surveillance footage from the bus showed the 14-year-old stabbed the other student with a pencil, Peterson said, and he was arrested and taken to the Harrison County youth detention center. He’s awaiting an initial court hearing.
