Health officials report three new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick Wednesday

FREDERICTON — Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting three new cases of COVID-19 today.

They involve two people in their 20s in the Fredericton region and both cases are travel-related, as well as a person in their 50s in the Miramichi region which is under investigation.

Officials have identified a list of locations in Miramichi where there may have been public exposure, and a mass testing clinic will be held to determine if there has been any further spread in the area.

The clinics will be held tomorrow and Friday at the gymnasium of the Dr. Losier Middle School.

There are now 37 active cases in the province and three people are hospitalized, including two in intensive care.

There have been 28 COVID-19-related deaths in the province since the onset of the pandemic.
