'Heartbreak High' Season 2 to premiere in April
Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Heartbreak High will return for a second season in April.
Netflix announced a premiere date, April 11, for Season 2 of the Australian teen drama series Monday.
Heartbreak High follows the students of Hartley High as they navigate the ups and downs of teenage life.
Ayesha Madon, Chloé Hayden and Thomas Weatherall return as Amerie, Quinni and Darren, with James Majoos, Asher Yasbincek, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Bryn Chapman Parish, Sherry-Lee Watson, Brodie Townsend and Josh Heuston to also reprise their roles.
New cast members include Angus Sampson, Sam Rechner and Kartanya Maynard.
Sampson will play Timothy Voss, the "uber-masculine" new Head of P.E., with Rechner as Rowan Callaghan, an "unassuming county boy" who finds himself in a truly epic love triangle at school. Maynard will portray Zoe Clarke, an opinionated celibacy advocate.
Rachel House and Chika Ikogwe also return as staff members Woodsy and Jojo.
In Season 2, "All our heroes are back for Term Two at the 'lowest ranking school in the district.' But fresh hotties, a new sports teacher and a mystery assailant, throw any hopes for a peaceful term into disarray, while the race for school captain is seeing dirty tactics run rife through Hartley High."
Heartbreak High originally premiered on Netflix in September 2022.
