Her fate is sealed! 'The Masked Singer' reveals Wendy Williams, kisses 'Lips' goodbye

Spoiler alert! The following contains spoilers from the Oct. 28 episode of "The Masked Singer," including the identity of the unmasked celebrity.

Cs the day!

"The Masked Singer" returned Wednesday, since the Los Angeles Dodgers were able to clinch the World Series in six games against the Tampa Bay Rays. And finally, viewers were able to meet the season's remaining five contestants, who make up Group C: Broccoli, Squiggly Monster, Mushroom, Jellyfish and Lips.

As usual, they were hoping to outsmart the show's in-house inspectors: Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke.

Here's how it all went down.

Squiggly Monster

As far as the Golden Mask trophy is concerned, Squiggly Monster is clearly hoping the eyes have it.
As far as the Golden Mask trophy is concerned, Squiggly Monster is clearly hoping the eyes have it.

Clues: Squiggly Monster's clue package had a video game theme. He described himself as "a patchwork of personas," which included being "a father figure and a scoundrel." Chocolate chip cookies, salami and a stethoscope all appear to hold significance for the contestant, who performed Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" beneath a vibrant rainbow.

Guesses: We doubt everybody loves Thicke's guess of comedian Ray Romano – the tone seems off. Two celebs came to mind for McCarthy: Romano's onscreen brother from "Everybody Loves Raymond," Brad Garrett, and politician Al Franken. Jeong thought the remedy for this puzzle was Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Mushroom

Caps off to Mushroom.
Caps off to Mushroom.

Clues: "I started out in the rat race, at a job that may surprise you," Mushroom revealed. "Then the world turned upside down, and I got my shot to turn a hobby into a career." Gardening tools and a hat that looked like the eye-catching Vivienne Westwood one Pharrell Williams donned at the 2014 Grammys were highlighted.

Once Mushroom began showing off his impressive, high-pitched pipes singing Maxwell's "This Woman's Work," Scherzinger (and all who believed Mushroom to be female) stood corrected.

Guesses: Scherzinger suspected Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino), while Jeong must've thought "yeah, yeah" right and went with Usher. McCarthy thought of "In My Room" singer Frank Ocean.

Jellyfish

Water you thinking for the identity of Jellyfish?
Water you thinking for the identity of Jellyfish?

Clues: It seems Jellyfish took a break from stardom, exchanging celebrity for "the real world," where she could "experience all the cool, fun things I missed out on, like making friends, going to parties and just being free."

As part of her swap, she traded a sparkling tiara for a flower crown. The package also gave nod to Billie Eilish's hit "Bad Guy" with a sign that read:

"No rough guys

No just can't get enough guys

No chest always so puffed guys"

Guesses: After hearing Jellyfish float through Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry," Thicke guessed gymnast Gabby Douglas. Jeong mentioned his "Tom & Jerry" colleague Chloë Grace Moretz, but then brought up his "Crazy Rich Asians" co-star comedian Awkwafina. Scherzinger thinks when Jellyfish is revealed, it might be model Sofia Richie saying, "Hello, is it me you're looking for?" We have a hunch it miiiiight it be singer/actress Jamie Lynn Spears.

Broccoli

Broccoli aiming to make you do the opposite of veg out.

Clues: This vegetable attempted to go viral, putting in his clue package instructions for his followers on how to do the "Brocco-lean" dance challenge. "A contest greased the wheels for my career," the green guy explained.

Other clues included two dogs with the bodies of chilies – seemingly alluding to chili dogs – a song sung by James Taylor, and a mention of John Mellencamp's "Jack and Diane." Broccoli doesn't necessarily sound like either musician, but his mash-up of "The House Is Rockin'/Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jerry Lee Lewis revealed a mature voice.

Guesses: Scherzinger went with comedic actor Bill Murray, while McCarthy thought of "America's Got Talent" judge Howie Mandel. Thicke went with "Three Men and a Baby" star Steve Guttenberg.

Lips

We suspect these Lips really can talk.
We suspect these Lips really can talk.

Clues: Before Lips was wheeled to the stage while seated on a chaise, her clue package revealed she knows she can be polarizing.

"Listen, you may have strong opinions about me, but I always speak my truth," she said.

Later she added: "I love making waves, America. That's why I'm here: to feed you a performance that will get you talking."

Guesses: Once Lips dedicated her rendition of Odyssey's "Native New Yorker" to "The City that never sleeps," the identity of the costumed celeb became obvious (at least to us), as her voice is so distinct. While Thicke thought of actress Sandra Bernhard and Jeong envisioned "Mom" star Allison Janney, the ladies of the house were (in our opinion) right on the money. McCarthy and Scherzinger agreed on talk-show host Wendy Williams.

The elimination

After the votes were tallied it was revealed Lips had been licked, and the panel's first impression guesses were revealed. They also locked in their final suspicions.

Jeong felt sheepish about his initial guess of host Nick Cannon's ex-wife, the iconic Mariah Carey, and went with his earlier guess of Janney. Thicke stuck with his first thought of Bernhard. McCarthy and Scherzinger felt it was Williams all along. And they were right!

When Cannon asked Williams about why she wanted to rock Lips on "The Masked Singer" she replied "they're fabulous."

The star added: "I can't sing, I can't dance, but I know how to have fun."

"Ken thought you were Mariah Carey, so you did a pretty good job," Cannon encouraged. Without missing a beat, the filter-free talk-show host asked: "Are you gonna get back together with her eventually?"

Cannon did not answer the question and laughed off the inquiry.
