Here’s When Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Are Planning on Getting Divorced and Announcing Their Split
As you may have noticed, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are ~reportedly~ gearing up for a divorce after just two years of marriage—news that’s been circulating since all the way back in May 2024.
And while plenty of sources and insiders have spoken out over the past few weeks, a friend of Bennifer’s tells Page Six that when it comes to the couple’s marriage, “They got caught up in the moment.” The insider adds that J.Lo in particular “wanted this wedding—the gowns, the friends, all the trappings and trimmings—for decades.”
As for when these two are planning on actually getting divorced and announcing the news, it’s…not gonna happen anytime soon. According to another source, the couple is “eyeing” the end of the summer, which is weeks away.
However (!!!), their anon friend says things are definitely over despite the delay in the celebs making it official: “They’ve turned the page on all the unfinished business of 20 plus years ago. They’ve seen things through to the end—and they know for sure now that they are not built for the long haul. No further unanswered questions. They’ve seen all they need to see, and it’s over. In the end, it’s gonna be the most elaborate and expensive exercise in closure ever.”
And nope, we shouldn’t expect another reconciliation. Per their pal: “Ben has found his new home, Jen’s about to select hers. It’s absolutely done and there is zero interest, inclination or reason to turn back.”
