Police in High River, Alta., are seeking witnesses to an incident in which a driver is alleged to have spat in a man's face multiple times after nearly hitting him and his dog at a crosswalk.

RCMP say the man was walking his dog across a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and Third Street S.E. in High River on Jan. 27.

While crossing, police say, he was nearly hit by a woman driving a vehicle believed to be a dark-coloured Honda Civic.

Police say the driver then turned around, exited the car, and spat in the man's face multiple times.

Police describe the driver as a Caucasian woman, approximately 20 years old, with blonde hair.
