Hit and run crash leaves pedestrian with serious injuries in Macon, deputies say
A man was in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash Saturday night in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received a 911 call regarding a collision on the 3400 block of Mercer University Drive just after 11 p.m., according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
A 28-year-old pedestrian “was struck while crossing the street,” deputies said. An unknown vehicle fled the scene.
An ambulance took the victim to Atrium Navicent Health for treatment. It was unclear what the victim’s condition was Monday.
