HMCS Hunter, Windsor police part of exercise on Detroit River this weekend

If you spot military and police vessels navigating the Detroit River this weekend don't panic, you're not under attack.

The HMCS Hunter Royal Canadian Naval Reserve unit, along with numerous other American and Canadian agencies including Windsor police, are completing a planned training exercise.

The manoeuvres are scheduled  to take place Saturday and Sunday during which people may see "elevated numbers of military, law enforcement and emergency service vessels and personnel" performing search and rescue drills and safety and security drills on the river and Lake St. Clair, according to a media release from the police.

If anyone does see a marine emergency not related to the exercise they're asked to call 911.
