Hollyoaks star Alex Fletcher shows off new red hair
Hollyoaks star Alex Fletcher has unveiled a huge new hair transformation, ditching her blonde locks for a different colour altogether.
The actress, who plays Diane Hutchinson on the Channel 4 soap, revealed new red hair – which will form part of her character's storyline – during an appearance on Steph's Packed Lunch earlier today (September 16).
"I keep looking at myself and going ooh, there's me," she said of her new locks. "It's a big change. It's part of the story. They were like, 'do you want a wig or do you just want to go for it?' I like it!"

During her appearance alongside co-star Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson), Alex also revealed that there will be a big Christmas storyline coming up for the soap.
"Christmas is going to be big for us on screen," she explained, adding that "something major happens, but it's kind of this love triangle, who she's going to be with".
We're certainly intrigued.

Alex also spoke about returning to set with new social distancing measures, explaining that everyone has been "making it work".
"They're cheating a lot of the positions which we can do with a single camera," she said. "It's been ok, you just can’t do any intimate scenes... Everyone's making it work, you've got to."
Meanwhile, Alex recently teased a big twist in Tony's story ahead of Hollyoaks' return to screens last week.
Hollyoaks airs first-look episodes Mondays through Thursdays at 7pm on E4, with repeats airing the following night on Channel 4 at 6.30pm. Steph's Packed Lunch airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 12.30pm.
