Hollyoaks star teases Cleo comeback as his fiancée returns to set
Hollyoaks actor Rory Douglas-Speed has revealed that he's very excited about welcoming his co-star – and real-life fiancée – Nadine Mulkerrin back to the soap's set.
Nadine, who plays Cleo McQueen, recently returned to work from her maternity leave after giving birth to her and Rory's baby son Reggie in October 2019 and she's already been excitedly sharing snaps of herself with her McQueen family co-stars.
Now Rory, who plays Joel Dexter on the soap, has shared his own delight about Nadine's – and Cleo's – comeback by posting a photo on Instagram of the couple dressed in their characters' costumes and standing by the Hollyoaks village sign.

"So nice to be back on set with my best pal!!" he wrote. "Mad how Joel looks haggard but Cleo looks super peng though. Must have had a secret baby off screen or something idk..."
Many of his followers joked that the couple don't need to social distance as they are doing in the photo because they live together, which Rory cheekily replied to with: "We socially distance in the house too btw".
Nadine and Rory might be pleased to be working together again but it remains to be seen whether former couple Cleo and Joel will also have a happy reunion after their sad split in 2018.
Thankfully Nadine and Rory have a far happier relationship in real life, having got together after meeting on set in 2016. They then got engaged in December 2018 while on a romantic break in Amsterdam and welcomed baby Reggie in October last year.

Cleo hasn't been seen on screen since last October when she departed the village after discovering that her boyfriend Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams) was having an affair with Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams).
Hollyoaks continues Mondays through Thursdays with first-look episodes at 7pm on E4, followed by repeat airings on Channel 4 the following evening at 6.30pm.
