The University of Windsor has restored hot water to one of the student residences in the wake of identifying legionella bacteria in several buildings last week.
Hot water was restored to Laurier Hall after "remedial work" was completed over the weekend, the university explained in a news release.
The bacteria were discovered in areas of Chrysler Hall Tower, Dillon Hall and Assumption Hall as part of a preventative maintenance program.
No illnesses have been reported and the university is continuing to investigate and awaiting test results from other buildings.
"We continue to work to repair and resolve the issue at the other buildings ... and are taking every possible measure to mitigate any inconvenience this may cause," the release states.
