Hugh Jackman is on the mend after being treated for skin cancer once again.

“Another basal cell carcinoma,” the Wolverine star captioned a photo of himself after a trip to the doctor’s office. “Thanks to frequent body checks and amazing doctors, all is well. Looks worse with the dressing on than off. I swear! #wearsunscreen.”

Jackman, 48, has had four skin cancers removed from his nose and another spot removed from his shoulder since 2013. He’s been open about his diagnoses, which he attributes to too much sun in his youth.

Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!

“It’s always a bit of a shock just hearing the word ‘cancer,’ ” Jackman told People in 2015. “Being an Australian, it’s a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up, so I was a prime candidate for it.”

Jackman often shares throwback photos that show him as a cute kid, having fun at the beach with his family, but apparently sans sunscreen.

Now, Jackman is all about preventing the most common form of skin cancer. The American Cancer Society reports that 3.3 million Americans are diagnosed with some type of skin cancer each year.

“I go every three months for checkups,” he said in that 2015 interview. “It’s the new normal for me. My doctor says I’ll likely have more, and if that’s your cross to bear in life, you should be so lucky.”

He makes sure to remind fans that they should always wear sunscreen. Jackman himself also now regularly wears hats and cool movie-star shades when he’s in the sun, which is appropriate for the Jackman of 2017. His new movie, the X-Men spinoff Logan, arrives in theaters March 3.
