Met police launches probe after 'human remains and bones' found in south-east London
Suspected human remains and bones have been found in south-east London.
Police were called to the discovery on Sewell Road in Thamesmead at roughly 12.36pm on Wednesday.
A cordon was put in place and forensics officers are trying to establish where the suspected remains came from.
The Met Police told the Standard: “Police were called at 12:36hrs on Wednesday, 6 November to reports of suspected human remains/bones at Sewell Road, Thamesmead.
“A cordon has been put in place while forensic officers examine the item and establish its origins.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
