Humanitarian law must be respected in Sudan: Joly
Speaking in Kenya's capital Nairobi on Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly called on both sides in the Sudan conflict to obey humanitarian law. "The UN must be able to do its work. It is important that people in Sudan have access to food, to water, to medicine,” Joly said. "Humanitarian law must be respected and this is a clear message that Canada is sending to the two generals."
