Huron & Area Search and Rescue attend OPP Appreciation BBQ

LISTOWEL – Members of the Huron & Area Search and Rescue (HASAR) team were on hand at the OPP Appreciation BBQ held in Listowel on May 21, speaking with attendees about what they do in the communities they serve.

The volunteer rescue team participated in the Listowel OPP wrap-up of Police Week held at the detachment at 330 Wallace Ave N. Children were invited to check out the cruisers, a motorcycle, ATV, and more.

The OPP wanted to thank the community for all they do to support their local police, so they planned this appreciation event with gifts from local businesses, a BBQ with hot dogs, and all the fixings donated by a local grocer.
